During an angiography, a brief sting or pressure from the local anesthetic injection administered to the groin, wrist, or arm can be expected. Aside from this, the procedure itself is generally not painful. Should any discomfort or pain arise after the procedure, prescribed pain medication can be used as directed by your physician.
