Elevated parathormone (PTH) is a condition where your blood calcium levels rise due to your parathyroid glands producing and secreting excessive amounts of parathormone. This condition is often an indicator of an underlying disease such as primary hyperparathyroidism. High PTH and consequently high calcium levels can lead to serious health problems like bone loss (osteoporosis) and kidney stone formation.
