The symptoms of an aneurysmal bone cyst are generally as follows: The most common symptom is pain. The cyst gradually thins the bone structure over time, leading to pain due to weakness. The pain may initially be mild and difficult to notice; however, it can become more pronounced and continuous as bone thinning progresses or if a fracture occurs due to trauma. During diagnosis, it is of great importance to differentiate between a simple traumatic fracture and a pathological fracture caused by a tumor. This is because the treatment approach for tumor-related fractures differs from that of classic fractures.
