Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) is a method used for conditions such as the investigation of blood clots or infections in the heart, functional evaluation of prosthetic heart valves, diagnosis of main artery pathologies like aortic dissections and aneurysms, examination of structural defects in the heart (such as holes), and determination of the degree of heart valve insufficiencies. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in evaluating the success of heart valve surgeries or operations performed to correct congenital heart anomalies, and in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of congenital heart diseases.
