The non-surgical PFO closure procedure typically lasts approximately one hour. During the procedure, the patient may remain awake or receive light sedation, depending on the method applied and the patient's condition. Following the procedure, the patient is required to observe at least 6 hours of bed rest and usually stays in the hospital for one night under observation, with discharge planned for the following morning. To prevent clot formation on the closure device, the use of anticoagulant medication is recommended for a short period post-procedure.
