Knee prostheses are highly durable implants. The likelihood of the prosthesis itself being directly damaged due to trauma is low. However, traumatic events or aggressive sports can lead to fractures or cracks in the surrounding bone tissue to which the prosthesis is attached. In such cases, the primary goal is to address the damage to the bone tissue. If a bone fracture causes the prosthesis to loosen, it may be necessary to remove and replace the prosthesis. Therefore, it is generally advised to avoid very aggressive sports in the post-operative period.
