In otosclerosis, fluoride therapy may be considered. It can be administered pre-operatively to help stabilize dizziness episodes or in the early stages of the disease to prepare the patient for potential surgery. It is important to note that fluoride therapy is not a continuous, long-term treatment for otosclerosis. Additionally, hearing aids are a viable treatment option. However, given that otosclerosis frequently manifests in younger age groups, early and continuous reliance on hearing devices is often not recommended.
