Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) offers numerous benefits. Its weight loss efficacy is comparable to that of laparoscopic methods. As a non-surgical, incision-free procedure, ESG significantly minimizes complication risks. Patients typically experience a brief recovery, often requiring only a one-day hospital stay or same-day discharge. They can usually resume a healthy diet the day after the procedure and return to work, social activities, and even sports within a few days. The absence of incisions results in minimal post-procedure pain and a very short healing period. Furthermore, because no tissue is cut or removed, the risk of leakage, a potential concern in traditional bariatric surgeries, is virtually eliminated. While a very rare risk of bleeding may exist, overall discomfort is minimal. ESG is suitable not only for individuals with obesity but also for those who have previously undergone bariatric surgery, experienced weight regain, and are candidates for revision.
