Mild and tolerable abdominal pain may be experienced during and after the ERCP procedure. Such pain is effectively controlled with administered pain relievers. Flatulence may occur for up to approximately three hours after the procedure. Even if the patient has no complaints, a one-day hospitalization is recommended for general precaution and follow-up.
