In a febrile state, it is important to remain calm and take the correct steps instead of panicking. Panic can lead to incorrect practices. Covering a child with a fever is absolutely wrong; this can increase the risk of the child experiencing seizures. Instead, the temperature of the child's environment should be lowered. If the child's fever reaches 39°C or if additional symptoms such as cough, vomiting, and diarrhea accompany the fever, a healthcare professional should be consulted immediately.
