Delaying or not applying treatment for spinal and spinal cord tumors leads to tumor progression and a worsening clinical picture. Tumor-related symptoms intensify and increase over time. Initially, a tumor manifesting with pain in a single leg may affect the other leg over time. The complaints follow a progressive course, appearing sequentially, and can ultimately lead to the development of paralysis. Depending on the tumor's location, paralysis can affect areas from the neck down or from the waist down.
