Following ThuLEP, similar to endoscopic TUR surgeries performed with electrocautery, patients are discharged from the operating room with a urinary catheter and continuous bladder irrigation using saline solution. However, after electrocautery-based TUR surgeries, this irrigation typically continues for several days due to bleeding, requiring the catheter to remain in place longer. In contrast, with ThuLEP, both irrigation and catheter removal are usually concluded within an average of 1-2 days.
