Following unilateral orchiectomy (removal of a single testis), infertility or erection problems are generally not experienced. The remaining testis produces increased sperm and testosterone hormone to compensate for the absence. However, adjuvant treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy can reduce fertility potential. Moreover, if more comprehensive surgical interventions are performed, which involve the removal of lymph nodes in addition to the testis(es), this can also negatively affect fertility.
