HEART ATTACK DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT METHODS

As in any health-related condition, early diagnosis is very important in a heart attack. For this reason, it should be taken into consideration when suspected of having a heart attack and a health institution should be reached as soon as possible.

Blood tests and ECG (electrocardiography), which provides documentation of the electrical activity of the heart, are among the first tests performed in the diagnosis of heart attack.

The main goal in the treatment of patients who have had a heart attack is to open the clogged vessel. Among the emergency interventions, coronary angiography can be applied, as well as a pacemaker or drug therapy.

The purpose of Coronary Angiography is to open the occluded vessel by balloon and stent placement. With this method, it can be determined how narrowed (occluded) the vessel feeding the heart is in which region.

To Avoid Heart Attack;

  • Avoid tobacco and tobacco products
  • Excess weight should be avoided
  • Have a balanced and healthy diet
  • Avoid stress
  • Sugar and cholesterol should be kept under control and exercise should be done.
